I love to eat!! Just like Mommy!
Justa swingin!Well, I thought since February is almost over I should give an update. :) I am sure most of you have given up on checking the blog these days. I have not been a very good blogger lately. Every time I try to sit down to blog I get interrupted. (Andy has already been in here twice.)
Leighton is on the move these days....She is 10 months old today and I can't believe it! 2 Months until she turns one! It doesn't seem possible. She is growing up so fast and getting so big. She is either standing up and moving from one piece of furniture to the other or crawling so fast I can't catch her. Andy says we need a gate. :) I don't think that would even stop her. She loves real food. She could care less about baby food but wants to try whatever you are eating. She is such a JOY! I can't even describe the feeling I feel when she smiles at me. She is smiling and laughing all of the time. Especially when she is in her swing outside. She is cutting her first tooth. Yes, 10 months old, eats table food, and no teeth yet. We have had some sleepless nights but it has finally broken through. I will try to get a picture soon. Bath time (aka splish splash) is still our favorite time of the day until we have to get out. She splashes water everywhere but has the best time.
Saying all of that....We have made a decision that I am not going back to work in the fall. Leighton has been sick most of her 10 months. She was premature and her immune system just can't handle all of the germs. I have a great mommy job - she comes to work with me, I get off at 3:00, and all of the holidays. I thought it would be great. But, I just feel like I am missing so much. We are going out on faith on this one. We are going to be VERY VERY poor but it is so worth it to us. We having been praying about it for awhile and God said Katie - you need to stay home. :) I will never get these days back with her. I am so excited. It is going to be hard but worth every minute of it. I will be much better at blogging soon - I promise!

Leighton is precious...and getting so big! Andrew has had a difficult time with being sick, too - making me think often how hard it would be to be teaching and trying to keep him well. I'm happy that you'll be able to stay at home with Leighton next year. :) You'll love it!
